Starting to think i had a dud resistor from word go,and the replacement resistor wasn't quite up to the load it had to carry.Īt least that's the only explanation i can come up with. The 2 resistors give me the required 6 ohms, twice the wattage,and seem to carry alot less heat under load between the 2 of them. Plumbed them in parallel and be damned if it's not working now. So i dug through my pile of resistors and diodes,and found (2) 12 ohm 50 watt resistors. I kept feeling the heat that came off the new resistor,and it ran really hot compared to the other 3. I started to get suspicious about the new resistor,so i put some of my other hobbies knowledge to work and tried something a bit out in left field,and so far everythings working.
